The image was taken from an original line drawing and transferred as a graphite enamel onto 6mm glass using a screen printing process. The glass and enamel were then fused together to make a permanent bond by firing at 800' C. The background colour was applied as cold enamel onto the glass and finally the piece was toughened for safety and durability.

My intention with this piece was to emphasise the physical power and energy of the horse in relation to the rider. This is why I selected the orange base colour to symbolise the energy. I have used stronger, thicker lines to depict the horse and lighter, thiner lines for the rider.
