Description of artwork Postage Stamp Collage... In developing another piece using postage stamps in an optical manner this design utilizes two opposites in juxtaposition. The blue lines of waves surround an orange square where light plays on the surface. This in conjunction with the viewer’s observation presents an optical situation that comes to life when seen from a certain distance. Here are two images for the price of one - orange square centered on blue waving lines and the after image provoked by luminous disembodied light of pink waves surrounding an egg-shell blue square. This work is created from over 2000 postage stamps.
