Postage Stamp Collage...
“Seascape with Poppies” was created from over 4000 used postage stamps and was the artist’s first experiment with images of the sea – a theme very close to his heart. This view is loosely based on the Northumberland coast around Dunstanburgh. The media of used postage stamps has many limitations and the challenge was to portray movement of wind in grass, across the flowers, through the waves and playing with the clouds.
