I was lucky enough to have been visiting friends in London when due to extreme solar flare activity from the Sun the beautiful Northern lights or Aurora borealis (godess of the dawn) could be seen from as far south as London and beyond, i just had to paint it, beautifully placed between Tower 42 (formally the Natwest tower) and the wonderfully lit st Pauls Cathedral it was a sight to behold.
Framed in a flat edged black ash style frame with ivory mount and 2mm glass front.
