Porthleven in Cornwall exudes Cornish charm and tradition. It is set in the middle of a huge sweeping bay with a beautiful sandy beach. Porthleven also has arguably the most impressive harbour in Cornwall, being constructed during Napoleonic times with the aid of French prisoners of war. Small fishing boats land their daily catch in Porthleven, much of which is sold in Porthlevens' cafes and restaurants.
This highly colourful image is the view of the harbour with its characteristic row of houses in the background. At the far end sits the church which has a magnificent view out to sea.
The original of this painting has been sold but it is available as a mounted giclee print which will fit a 20x16" ready made frame.
