Description of artwork This picture of a Street Musician captures the colour and sound of the Delhi street scene. The instrment, known as "Ravanahatha", is a bowed fiddle popular in Western India. The bowl is made of a coconut shell the mouth of which is covered with goat hide. The image is from a photograph taken in Delhi in 2010 and the size of the actual image is 7.25" x 10". The watercolour has been professionally mounted under glass in a deep blue frame to match the double mount.
