Inspired by a trip to Teignmouth, Devon, 'The Harbour' is a very detailed and heavily textured impression of an English harbour in the moonlight, With a stainless steel moon, raised wooden textured beach huts, and vivid contrast between the rough dull surface of the sand and gloss smooth waves of the sea. Blacks, greys, pewters and metallic silvers. Materials used in this piece are: spray paint, texture paste, resin, silver leaf, glitter, stainless steel, acrylic, sand, enamel and varnishes. As with all of Paula’s pieces they change in different light due to the highly metallic paints, glitters and different textures. This piece has been finished with a layer of archival quality varnish.
