Around 4000 stamps were used creating this piece of work of Shakespeare - a poet, play writer and actor. He is widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English Language. In the background of this piece it has a circle in the background which represents the sphere, which is the planet as 'all the world's a stage'. Shakespeare himself of course would refer to it as the 'Globe'. There are a lot of references to his writings including on many of the stamps, the letters 'ode' which refers to the post c ode.
