Windows – Blue and Gold Geometric Abstract Painting Acrylic

Windows is a large original abstract painting built around a striking geometric composition. Against a deep black background, numerous irregular “windows” reveal expressive passages of blue, turquoise, ochre, gold, white and black – each appearing almost like a small painting within the larger artwork.

I created the individual sections with different gestures, layers and structures, deliberately allowing them to contrast with one another. Some are energetic and expressive, others quieter and more mysterious. The strong black divisions bring these fragments together and give the composition its distinctive architectural rhythm.

Viewed from a distance, Windows makes a bold contemporary statement. Up close, the individual fields invite discovery, revealing different marks, textures and colour combinations throughout the painting.

With its generous square format, the artwork has a strong presence and works particularly well as a focal point in a modern interior. The 2 cm deep canvas is unframed and ready to hang.
