Large Blue Abstract Painting with Textured Waves – Celestial Currents Acrylic

Celestial Currents is a large original abstract painting by German artist Edelgard Schroer, exploring the beauty of movement, flowing energy and the endless rhythm of water.

Sweeping brushstrokes in vibrant cobalt blue, deep navy and luminous white create two powerful, swirling formations that appear to move across the canvas. Delicate golden accents and raised textured details follow the curves, adding depth, contrast and a fascinating interplay of light.

The composition combines expressive movement with a sense of balance. While the flowing shapes evoke ocean currents, rolling waves and the infinity symbol, the painting remains deliberately abstract, leaving room for individual interpretation.

Richly textured areas contrast with the smoother blue background, giving the artwork a distinctive three-dimensional quality. The combination of intense blue tones, energetic white brushwork and warm gold makes Celestial Currents a striking centrepiece for contemporary interiors.

With its impressive 120 × 100 cm format and deep 4.5 cm canvas, this original painting is particularly suited to spacious living rooms, modern offices and interiors where a bold, sophisticated statement is desired.
