Summer's Flame Watercolours

A contemporary botanical watercolour celebrating the graceful beauty of Montbretia (Crocosmia) in full summer bloom.

The arching stems, vibrant orange flowers and delicate buds seem to dance effortlessly, their cascading blossoms resembling tiny flames or falling stars suspended in the air. Painted directly from life using flowers gathered from my own garden, I chose a simple composition to highlight the elegant rhythm of each stem and the natural poise of this much-loved garden perennial. The clean background allows the luminous blooms and flowing lines to take centre stage, creating a botanical study that is both fresh and timeless. Equally suited to a bedroom, study or office, this painting brings a touch of summer warmth throughout the year.

The painting measures 16 x 11 inches and is presented with a 16 x 20-inch crisp white mount, ready for framing.

My signature appears on the front of the painting, together with the flower name. Each original is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
