Description
There is a moon that only rises in memory — thick with light, cracked like old plaster, holding the shape of every story ever told beneath it. Two faces turn toward each other in its glow, close enough to share breath, close enough that the space between them becomes its own small country: the country where tales are born.
This is the hour grandmothers kept sacred. The hour uncles leaned back in their chairs and let the room grow quiet. The hour a child's eyes grew heavy not from sleep, but from wonder.
Painted in textures that seem to hold dust and firelight both, *Tales by Moonlight* summons the creatures that lived inside those stories — egret, dragonfly, tortoise, butterfly — each one a half-remembered character stepping softly from the dark. The moon does not illuminate so much as it *listens*, vast and patient, the way all good moons do.
