Sentinel Above the Tides Photograph

A solitary figure sits high upon a weathered coastal rock, silhouetted against the deep and seemingly limitless blue of the sky. Seen from below, the figure appears both distant and quietly watchful—a sentinel suspended between the solid weight of the earth and the openness above. Golden traces of lichen soften the rugged stone, carrying the warmth of sunlight into the otherwise restrained palette of rock and sky. Although the sea remains beyond the frame, its presence can be felt in the elevated viewpoint, the coastal light and the sense of space surrounding the figure.
