Description

In this painting I applied oils with a squeegy and palette knife in various layers ,scraping back to reveal previous layers ,before applying more layers .I wanted to create an effect of an icy landscape and a shimmering look .I enjoy using this technique .It's liberating and you can use dramatic and expressive gestures .
