Description
I admire Gerhard Richter and have used his technique here by applying oil paint with a squeegy and palette knife and scraping back layers of paint in order to apply further layers .Paint is picked up from previous layers and reapplied and distributed in different parts of the painting to create interesting effects colours and forms which I hope the viewer will be intrigued by .Using paint in this way is quite liberating and you can use dramatic and expressive strokes with the squeegy and palette knife.
