Description
Great Ambrook is a garden of architectural and historical importance found in South Devon. The bench is on the tennis pavilion and is made of local Ipplepen marble. As Garden Photographer at Great Ambrook, I document the garden as it undergoes sympathetic restoration. This image was one of a series that earned me Finalist in the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition 14. The black-and-white treatment ties in with the garden's history and highlights the amazing textures of the crumbling structure.
This is one of my favourite photos, and I love it so much I have it in my own house, in a black frame in the dining room!
Giclee printed on fine art photographic paper.
