Behind the white teeth. Acrylic

Composition & Subject: The artwork highlights a dramatically cropped face filling the right side of the canvas, with the mouth wide open in an intense, emotional expression. A flat, solid black background fills the left side, providing contrast. Color Palette: The face and neck feature warm, expressive tones—dominated by shades of red, pink, coral, ochre, and warm tan—layered with painterly brushstrokes. The teeth stand out starkly in clean, bright white against the deep red interior of the open mouth. Texture & Style: Bold, directional paint strokes accentuate the facial contours and muscle tension around the squinched eyes, nose, and open jaw, conveying a visceral sense of anguish, passion, or catharsis.
