Description
This painting was inspired by the iconic architecture of Vik i Myrdal church contrasted against the beautiful scenery of Iceland’s south coast. Beyond its role as a picturesque landmark, it is the designated emergency shelter for the community in the event of an eruption from the nearby Katla volcano, as its elevated position is believed to be the only area safe from potential glacial flash floods.
This painting has been produced using artist grade oil paint on canvas. A coat of professional grade art varnish has been applied to optimise the colour and protect the painting from dust, UV light and other environmental factors. The painting is provided in a complimentary handmade wooden frame which is painted white and fitted with picture wire, ready to hang. The painting is signed on the front and will be shipped with the Certificate of Authenticity.
The painting measures 8 (H) x 8 (W) inches (approx. 20 x 20 cm).
All paintings are professionally wrapped to ensure they arrive in perfect condition and are shipped with tracking and insurance.
