I noticed the reflections and light on my little pond one evening were particularly interesting, so I snapped a few photographs and used them as a starting point for this large atmospheric oil painting.
Broad lily pads in shifting greens, golds, and soft violets drift across the surface, catching the subtle glow of the sky. Reflections of branches ripple through the water, creating layered depth and a sense of quiet movement. Along the edges, clusters of aquatic plants and grasses add texture and rhythm. The result is a tranquil, immersive view of the pond’s natural harmony, transformed from a fleeting moment of evening light into a richly detailed artwork.
