Upas Tree Acrylic

Serguei Borodouline's 'Upas Tree' presents a stark, evocative landscape. A gnarled, leafless tree with twisted branches dominates the foreground, its dark form silhouetted against a vibrant backdrop. The expansive terrain behind it is rendered in rich, undulating waves of red, orange, and yellow, suggesting vast dunes or parched earth. Strong shadows define the rhythmic contours of the land, creating a sense of depth and movement. Above, a serene blue sky stretches, offering a striking contrast to the intense warmth of the ground. The composition emphasizes the dramatic interplay of light and shadow across the textured surface.
