Description
Acrylic painting on canvas depicting sunlight over Camus More Bay on the north end of the Isle of Skye. This painting was done from a couple of sketches and a photograph taken at the time between rain showers. I have tried to capture a moment when sunlight breaks through the clouds illuminating the sea below.
This painting was completed in my studio with acrylic paints using a knife and brush. I applied some texture medium to the foreground to help convey the ruggedness of the scene. The painting was finally finished with two coats of matt varnish.
