This painting was made after my brain injury, when my life changed following a fall. The scene feels like a landscape of recovery—paths that may look uncertain at first, then slowly opening into warm light. I focused on the way color gathers in the distance, as if hope is finding its way back through the trees. Painting became my way of processing the journey: not instantly “back to normal,” but toward a steadier, gentler calm.
