Untouchable Acrylic

In this self-portrait, my cat Lotte and I occupy a shared space of sanctuary, and a bond that exists beyond language. For me this is an exploration of emotional truth, where the presence of an animal companion strips away the performances we maintain for others. The work explores belonging in its most intimate form, asking what it means to feel truly safe, and how, in the company of another creature who asks nothing of our identity, we might finally become untouchable.
