The Threshold Acrylic

Serguei Borodouline's "The Threshold" captures a profound visual dichotomy through a solitary tree, dramatically split down its vertical axis. On one side, vibrant green and blue foliage flourishes against a serene sky of soft blues and yellows, suggesting vitality and light. The opposing half reveals stark, skeletal branches silhouetted against a fiery red and deep blue expanse, evoking a dramatic shift. Below, a verdant field on the left contrasts with a darker, fractured ground on the right, underscoring the painting's central theme of division and transition.
