Waterworld – Blue Abstract Ocean Wave Painting Acrylic

Waterworld is a large original abstract painting inspired by the endless movement and energy of the sea. Sweeping wave-like forms flow across a rich blue background, creating a composition filled with rhythm, depth and a wonderful sense of motion.

I combined expressive brushwork with strongly textured areas, building raised structures along the curves with layers of acrylic paint and texture. White, deep blue and subtle golden accents highlight the movement and catch the light, making the surface appear different depending on the viewing angle.

The flowing shapes may suggest waves, currents or even the symbol of infinity – an endless movement without a defined beginning or end. Despite its dynamic composition, the predominantly blue palette gives Waterworld a calm and harmonious presence.

The painting is presented in a light-coloured floater frame, which beautifully complements the fresh blues and gives the artwork a clean contemporary finish.
