Day and Night Watercolours

This watercolour explores positive and negative space through a playful contrast between day and night. Hinting at how a city carries a different kind of beauty in each. I wanted to push watercolour beyond its usual softness by leaving intentional brush marks and layered textures, creating a more tactile feel. The warm, earthy palette was chosen to live comfortably in any home, blending simplicity, texture, and a sense of quiet movement through blended washes and overlapping strokes.
