Description
Garden of Memories was painted during a tender transition, as we prepared to leave our old home. Outside my studio stood a cherry blossom tree that bloomed every spring - soft pink petals, marking time like a silent metronome. I pressed real petals from that tree into this painting, preserving them between layers of oil and memory.
Months later, in our new home, I found the same kind of cherry blossom tree waiting for me. In almost the same spot. As it bloomed, I realised - I had painted it into existence.
This piece is more than a memory. It’s a quiet symbol of hope, luck, and love that never truly leaves. A reminder that some seasons stay with us, blooming again when we least expect it.
