Description
I love to watch rough waves in winter, but I don't live that close to the sea so it doesn't happen very often. My son however, spent his university years in Cardiff, and he took the reference photograph of the Welsh coastline for this painting.
I chose to paint this scene because of the light quality, and the movement of the water. It was fun to capture the splash of the waves, with the backdrop of the dramatic sky.
