Description
Marple Aqueduct, River Goyt – Peak District
This luminous watercolour captures the dappled beauty of sunlight filtering through a canopy of trees onto the towpath of the River Goyt at New Mills, in the heart of the Peak District. The composition leads the eye towards the elegant arches of the historic aqueduct, framed by vibrant foliage and the soft meander of the river.
Painted with professional-grade watercolours on Canson Moulin du Roy paper, the work measures 20 x 29 cm and is presented in a hand-finished obeche wood frame (30 x 39 cm). Clear 2mm acrylic glazing ensures both clarity and long-lasting protection.
The artist’s delicate handling of light and shadow brings a sense of tranquillity, while expressive brushwork and fresh, layered washes evoke the shifting colours of nature in motion.
Each artwork is individually signed and dated on the lower front right and reverse, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Carefully packaged for protection, the piece is dispatched promptly via Royal Mail Tracked 48, with complimentary UK delivery included.
