When we hear the word “hedgehog,” many of us immediately think of a picture from a children’s book in which a cheerful family of hedgehogs drags mushrooms pinned onto needles into a hole. In fact, hedgehogs are cunning and intelligent predators who willingly feed not only on mushrooms and berries, but also on anything they can find. Or whoever they manage to catch.
