Description
The harbour, directly alongside the town centre, has its own small shipyard used mainly for smaller vessels. The disused Queen's Pier was built in 1886 to provide a low water landing for passenger ferries and was last used in 1970.
Painted on a gesso primed masonite board, using artist quality Windsor &
Newton oil paints, then a coat of varnish to make the colours come alive.
