Description
The story behind this painting began during my month in a caravan in the forests of Norfolk. Surrounded by nature, I experienced deep silence and moments of true solitude. In that quiet time, I started to look inward and reconnect with myself, inspired by the peaceful rhythm of the forest.
In this abstract acrylic composition, a quiet river and small houses emerge from a vast forest — symbols of calm and solitude. The dense red and green colors remind us how much energy we consume and how deeply we are connected to the living world around us. The isolated houses reflect the beauty of being alone in a quiet place, embraced by nature’s strength and silence.
This painting expresses the idea that solitude in nature is not emptiness, but renewal — a space where emotions settle and the mind feels free. Through bold brushstrokes and gentle contrasts, it invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and rediscover the good feelings that come from being surrounded by nature’s silence.
