By using oils applied with a squeegy and palette knife I wanted to create an abstract cityscape that had drama and energy .I chose black and white oils .I wanted to evoke the feeling of both high rise buildings on the edge of water and also the sense of crumbling and decaying buildings .No matter how well buildings are constructed they will eventually be subject to the power of nature.
