A fine art watercolour and ink study of a magnificent black horse, captured in a moment of exhilarating movement as it gambols across the open desert. Its flowing mane, powerful form and airborne stride convey a wonderful sense of freedom and untamed energy.

I was particularly captivated by the exquisite musculature of this beautiful animal and the ever-changing play of light across its powerful body. The combination of expressive ink work and delicate watercolour washes allowed me to explore both the strength and grace of the horse, while subtle touches of liquid acrylic silver add a gentle luminosity to the painting.
