A colourful Ansett Airlines Australia Electra, has it's 4 Allison turbo prop engines on full throttle, as it revs up for take off.
All three main Australian airlines operated the versatile Electra through the 1960s. Qantas, TAA and Ansett-ANA used them mainly between the large cities.
