Church by the Sea, Sifnos, Greece II Oil

An original painting in oils on artist’s paper of a little classical white church with blue-domed roof overlooking the calm Aegean Sea surrounding the Greek island of Sifnos. In the foreground the grasses are gently swaying in the breeze. I have tried to capture the natural elements of this delightful scene into an image which triggers a feeling of serenity, as I experienced on encountering this scene one sunny afternoon, whilst walking on one of the many footpaths near Apollonia.

The painting is unframed, and measures 35 x 25 cms.

The painting will be delivered flat with ‘no bend’ support. It can be framed according to personal choice.
