Description
An original watercolour picture in portrait format on Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolour 140lbs paper.
A familiar scene for the many that witnessed the sudden rise of the Beatboom in the early 1960s.
The interior of EMI house on Abbey Road, London. There is John Lennon, but this is a different time...20 years later on from the begining of The Beatles UK recording career. A different John, different circumstances.
I drew the building work after studying the cover of the Please Please Me LP.
It was great fun trying to capture the perspective as well as the subtle shading and reflections.
If You like what You see, get it. It is unique and puts a different perspective both literally and figuratively.
