View from a gondola Acrylic

My son went on a holiday to Venice with a friend, and returned with a lot of interesting photographs, some of which he took whilst on a gondola ride. I loved the reference photograph for this painting, with all the variations in colour in the reflections in the water. You can almost hear the water swishing as the gondola moves through the water. I thought it was a charming scene from an interesting vantage point, and really wanted to paint it.

I take every care when packaging paintings. They are firstly wrapped in acid free tissue, and then double wrapped in bubble wrap to protect the canvas. The painting is then placed in a custom made box which is securely taped up and then wrapped in brown paper ready for dispatch. This painting is unframed and ready to hang.
