Wild ~ Wren on Rose Mixed Media

This shy little bird is unfortunately on the endangered bird list.
Having partially re-wilded our garden, we have recently spotted four separate wren families.
This makes me very happy 🙂
The message of this painting is peaceful, and the creation of the painting is a mindful exercise in itself. canvas is covered in several layers of acrylic paint and each layer is gently sanded to create a beautiful smooth surface before painting the bird with oil paints and fine brushes.
