Description
All That We See or Seem
Beneath a mural sky of rust and leaf,
where ivy stitches sunlight to stone,
a great mechanical dream awakens,
its gears turning with the patience of roots.
A painted face gazes beyond the wall,
beyond the city of tomorrow,
beyond the clocks that measure ordinary hours,
toward a landscape only wonder can navigate.
Copper thoughts bloom into roses.
Steel breath becomes birds.
Pipes curl like climbing vines,
learning the language of green things,
while hidden wheels revolve beneath petals,
keeping time with seasons rather than seconds.
Before this engine of becoming
stands a figure shaped from bark and memory,
a living silhouette reaching upward
as if conducting an orchestra of possibilities.
The old world hums beneath the new.
The new world remembers the old.
Neither machine nor garden stands alone;
each carries traces of the other,
like dreams carried forward
inside the chambers of the heart.
A rose unfolds at the centre of motion,
its fragile architecture defying iron,
its fragrance invisible yet enduring,
a compass pointing toward renewal.
Around it, strange blossoms rise,
lanterns of colour and improbable design,
guardians of imagination's frontier.
And above them all,
the silent declaration remains:
that tomorrow is not built by certainty,
but by those rare moments
when vision dares to place a seed
inside the machinery of the possible.
For all that we see or seem
is partly memory, partly invention,
a mural painted across the walls of time,
where every rusted gear may flower,
every flower may become a star,
and every dream, if tended carefully,
may learn to run.
