Artistic background

My work bridges the gap between contemporary fine art and the microscopic architecture of life. Working primarily with fluid acrylics, cell-generating mediums, and mixed-media histology elements, I explore the visual parallels between biological structures and the expansive patterns of the natural world.
Having spent years immersed in the biological sciences and industrial fermentation, my artistic practice is deeply informed by a fascination with cellular morphology, tissue sections, and microbiological landscapes. Fluid pouring offers a deliberate surrender of control; by manipulating paint viscosity, density, and chemical reactions, I mimic the spontaneous yet governed growth patterns found in nature—from cellular division to crystallization and fluid dynamics.
My ongoing Micro-Anatomy series reimagines traditional laboratory slide preparations as framed miniature fine art objects. By housing fluid acrylic abstractions within glass slide configurations and labeling them with hand-written accession numbers, I invite viewers to peer through a metaphorical microscope. This interplay between the macro and the micro transforms abstract paint into organic tissue, questioning where rigorous scientific documentation ends and expressive interpretation begins.
