Artistic background
I'm a self-taught artist interested in the natural world, colour and texture. For years I painted as a hobby while working in education. For the past few years I have been painting full time, splitting my time between Oxford and my native county of Cornwall. I have recently started using collage in my paintings, building pieces up in layers which gives an extra dimension to the artworks.
Interests
Painting (of course), swimming (I swim in the Cornish sea all year round), and walking the coast path.
