Javi Lorbada

Javi Lorbada is an Asturias-based adventure and travel photographer.

Born and raised in Spain, Javi moved to Amsterdam at twenty-four to pursue a career as a mobile software developer. During his six and a half years there, his connection with people and cultures from around the world sparked a passion for travel, landscapes and photography.

He later left software development to spend more than eight months travelling through Nepal, Jordan, Chile, India, Australia, New Zealand and beyond. Today he is based in Spain, continuing to explore rugged mountains, remote landscapes and the night sky — hiking, skiing and camping in search of memorable light and honest stories.

His work spans landscape, lifestyle, wildlife, sports and travel photography. His images are offered as limited-edition fine-art prints on Hahnemühle Photo Rag® paper. His print shop is a member of 1% for the Planet, and selected prints also contribute 5% of their value to environmental organisations connected to where each image was made.
