Anne Robin
Saulx les ChartreuxAnne Robin, painter in the suburds of Paris, exhibits in France and abroad since 2014 in salons, or in galleries.
Halfway between the figurative and the abstract, her work strives to bring out feelings and emotions through antagonisms. Indeed her favorite themes are the contrasts between
somewhat contradictory cohabitations, such as the coldness of cities softened by the surrounding nature, the roundness of waves and clouds, found in abstract straight lines, or women. Without forgetting sometimes also the vivacity of the liberating abstract. Teeming with ideas, she finds her own ways to realize and showcase them. She likes offering an attractive visual ensemble to then bring the eye to the detail, take the viewer inside her painting, let him imagine, watch for the life that is there.
On canvas or other support, she paints in acrylic or mixed techniques, often with additions of materials, and one frequently finds gold, symbol of brilliance, in different forms, paint, pure pigments, leaf... She paints as she is, that is to say unpretentious, with her faults and her strengths, but admits making a point of honor to produce very personal works, in a style that cannot be found elsewhere.
With an almost self-taught artistic background, she has exhibited in France, China, Spain, Italy and Vatican. Her paintings can be found in France, Great-Britain, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Japan, China, Taiwan, New-Zealand, French Polynesia etc.
She has an I CAC rating.
Artistic background
As a professional painter from the Paris region, I want, through the abstract or the figurative tinged with abstract, to convey moods and emotions, and particularly to show the love I have for the making of my works. I chose to paint to share my dreams and to make people dream.Drawing my inspiration from my environment, from my travels, from nature and simply from life, I paint women and more particularly the look of women, the antagonism of the coldness of the cities softened by the surrounding nature, the landscapes, and I find my own ways to highlight them. But I also like the liveliness of the liberating abstract, particularly in the spirit of Pollock. I propose a visual whole that I want to attract and then make the viewer look at the detail, take him inside the painting, let him imagine, watch for the life that is there, in a dreamlike universe.
I appreciate the modernity of acrylic paint, but I like to add various material effects or collages when the work requires a different consistency. Some of my paintings also have a message about recycling, with electronic components in particular. And gold, a tribute to Klimt, is always present, a symbol of abundance and spirituality, in quantity or even just a touch, whether in paint, pigment or leaf.
I have exhibited in France, China, Spain where I received a gold medal, and in Italy and the Vatican. My paintings can be found in France, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Japan, China, Taiwan, New Zealand, French Polynesia etc. I am featured in the book "alla ricerca della bellezza" by Anna Rita Delucca, art critic and in some local magazines.
