Artistic background

I don't remember the first time I held a pencil, but I clearly remember the first drawing I was happy with, a fluffy duck. I remember going bright red as my class mates gathered around and asked me how I did it? - 'I Don't know?' I said. I think I was around 5 at the time.
I was a very shy child and used drawing as a means of escape, I loved going into my own little world. I believe my arty side comes from my mums side of the family, I was mesmerized as she sketched beautiful women in flowy dresses at ease. All of my five sisters have a creative side too. I did Art & Design at GCSE and A-Level (2011 - 2015) but it wasn't until 2021 that I discovered my style and favorite subject, Animals! Starting with my beautiful dachshund cross - Buttons. Then for the past 3 years I have been doing pet portraits professionally.
My current mediums of choice are -Faber castel polychrome pencils/Caran daché Luminance
