Abstract artist inspired by natural landscapes.

For over 35 years, I have explored the boundless possibilities of colour, shape, and light through my work as an artist. My practice spans abstract painting, stained glass windows, and landscapes — each offering a unique way to capture emotion, movement, and the beauty of the world around us.
Inspired by the bold forms of Picasso, the luminous artistry of Glenys Cour, and the geometric harmony of Mondrian, my work blends vibrant expression with considered structure. Whether working on canvas or in glass, I strive to create pieces that invite reflection, spark curiosity, and bring joy to those that experience them.

Artistic background

Having spent over 30 years teaching art and working with stained glass following my art degree which I studied successfully at Swansea University. Much of my earlier work was creating traditional stained glass windows for churches and historic buildings across Wales.
These days, I’m drawn to more abstract forms—acrylic painting, resin, and wood sculpture. I find inspiration in the landscapes around me and the memories they hold. My work is often personal, aiming to capture a feeling or a moment in time rather than a literal scene. I’m still learning, still exploring, and grateful to be able to share what I create.

Interests

Enjoying the outdoors with my wife and two dogs where much of my inspiration for art comes from. I am lucky enough to have my own space to create my art in and I am often found either pottering in the garden or being creative in my studio.
I still teach full time and lead Inclusion in my school and love using art to support vulnerable young people.
