Artistic background

I am a self-taught artist who paints from a place of emotion, memory, and lived experience. My work is rooted in storytelling, and I use a mixture of mediums to give voice to the layers of feeling that words alone can’t capture. Whether I’m blending acrylics with ink, layering pastels over collage, or weaving fabric into paint, each medium brings its own energy—its own language—and allows me to explore the textures of healing, identity, and hope.

Art, for me, is a deeply intuitive process. I don’t plan every detail—I listen to the materials, let them guide me, and respond to what’s unfolding on the canvas. I find beauty in imperfections and freedom in experimentation. My pieces are often shaped by my personal journey, shaped by trauma, resilience, love, and growth. Through my art, I create spaces where feelings can be seen, held, and transformed.

I paint because I must—because creativity is a part of how I make sense of the world and how I connect with others. I hope my work speaks not only to the eye but also to the heart, offering moments of recognition, reflection, and renewal.
