Chris Francis’s artworks are an eclectic mixture of diverse subjects in a variety of media, means, methods and techniques.

The basis is acute obervationof the subject before him and carefully and sensitively rendering the line, tone shape, form and colour to stimulate the beholder's vision whether it is the sensual female form or the fabric of cityscape or marine structure

The extent and range is a legacy of the revolution in UK Art Education in the Sixties which encouraged experimentation and exploration that eschewed previous tradition and convention. This is encapsulated in a series of Experimental Prints made in his 60s
