Miriam Ghubril

Artistic background

Although Miriam obtained a science degree from Beirut University College and a diploma in Medical Technology from American University of Beirut, and worked for some time in that field, she realized that her passion for art and design was stronger than the world of science and technology. That led her to pursue her further studies achieving a diploma in interior design from “ La Salle College Chicago” followed by completing a number of projects in that field in Dubai in the 1980s.

Moving later with her family to London “ The capital of Art” Miriam strode forward by joining various colleges and institutions and modeled her artistic path with dedication, perseverance and mostly passion.

This journey through the artistic world is obvious in Miriam’s art which is about the beauty of an impulsive idea which could be a dream, a nostalgic scene, a thought or a memory blending fantasy with real images; it is all about creating harmony amongst space, lines and colours with bold brush strokes, creating a message of a certain emotional experience. Colour is a crucial aspect for her as she transforms colour into an active element creating a vivid and layered composition representing free abstract subjects, far from the real world.

She participated through the years, with many exhibitions in many countries and on different occasions.
