Artistic background

Contemporary artist and print maker. I have painted forever, I can’t imagine not painting and being creative.
I am not “formally” trained, but have attended many courses, endless workshops, Arty holidays and night schools, still do if I need to.
I love nothing more than experimenting with paints, paper and mark makers. I have successfully exhibited In both France and the UK, and have sold my work worldwide. I paint or print most day and run Arty Farty Workshops from my studio on the farm in Hertfordshire.

Taking a plain canvas or piece of paper and turning it into art is still one of the most satisfying things, if you are passionate about it, keep on, You never fail, you just discover another way not to do something.

Interests

I love the natural world that surrounds me, a new leaf unfurling in springtime to the light catching water on a winters day. Everyday holds some sort of promise, we just have to look for it and capture it.
